About Elton
Elton
Lammie was born in Sicamous/Salmon Arm and then grew up in the Okanagan
Valley of British Columbia. As a youth he was fascinated and had a
passion for the country music his family had embraced. He quickly
learned all the words to hits by the Everly Brothers, Conway Twitty,
George Jones and Vince Gill. While in school, Elton was inspired by
Allan Crossley, his music teacher, to love music as an art form and Mr.
Crossley opened his eyes to Jazz, Standards and Torch music.

Elton quickly discovered that music was to be his main passion in life
as he became accomplished as a drummer, saxophone player, bass player,
guitarist and eventually a vocalist.

For about 20 years now Elton has been making fans as a performer from
coast to coast in Canada, the USA, Japan and in recent years has earned
applause in Italy. Elton has spent a number of years singing tribute
shows to artists like Roy Orbison and Rascal Flatts. He has won dozens
of major singing contests in North America but his biggest
accomplishment to date was entering a televised Opera singing contest
searching for Canada’s next Opera star. Although he knew nothing
of Opera as a music or as a culture, against all odds he won the
contest and has been severely bitten by the Opera Bug!

Check out the Media Page to
see him on the television show. Elton has gone on to sing Opera with
many accomplished musicians and singers including the Toronto Symphony
Orchestra. So it can be said that Elton Lammie has conquered the worlds
of Opry and Opera! Don’t forget to visit the Performances page to catch Elton live and in person.
